We ask that you contact us first and arrange to meet with one of our Pole Instructors. The instructor will test you and evaluate your skill level so that we can place you in the appropriate class. Are the poles sturdy and safe?
We have custom-made Platinum Stage permanent poles which are bolted into both the ceiling and the floor in our pink pole room, as well as Lil Mynx Removable Poles in our red room.
What should I wear for Pole class?
We recommend wearing shorts or pilates capris, as well as tank tops, t-shirts or sports bras with no ‘bling’, and as you progress into the higher levels your instructor will give further suggestions on what to wear. In your first couple classes of Level 1 we will start with learning pole moves in bare feet for your safety. Your instructor will discuss what type of heel is safe to use in class. You may bring your own pole approved shoes no street shoes, please, or purchase a pair at the Studio to use in class. Please do not wear any oils or lotions, as they make the poles dangerously slippery! You may wear a water based lotion but please be sure to apply it at least 4 hours or longer before class so that it can be fully absorbed by the time class starts. Also, please remove any hand jewelry (rings, bracelets or watches) as it will damage your jewelry and the poles. As far as tops, you can wear a tank top, sports bra or t- shirt .As far as bottoms, you can wear yoga pants, leggings, or shorts for Levels 1. For Levels 2 and up you will want to wear shorts and avoid pants/ leggings as you will be using your legs to “grip” the pole safely. Feet: we will start off barefoot or or wearing ballet slippers/ foot undiez. As you get more comfortable, you can bring pole approved high heel shoes. Your instructor will discuss what type of heel is safe to use in class. You may bring your own shoes, or purchase a pair at the Studio
